I’m sharing a sneak of one of the new stamp sets called Wicked Nauticool.  It has some really great nautical images, as well as coordinating dies.  I’ve featured the anchor from the set, as well as one of the sentiments.  The sailboat was created using the Sailboat die from last month’s release.
Well, that’s it for me kids.  I’ll be back in just a bit to share this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.  Thanks for stopping by!

CTS21 - Happy Birthday

What Does a Dinosaur Say?! ROAR!

Well, hello my peeps!

How was your weekend?!  Mine was pretty freakin’ fantastic!  I spent all day (and night) Friday cropping with some of the cutest and most fun girls on the face of the earth.  There was lots of laughing and cutting up (no pun intended – LOL) going on.  Good times, good times.  I spent all day Sunday in my craft room trying to get caught up on some deadlines – I was mildly successful.  And yesterday (every day is a weekend for me, people) we enjoyed Chicago Cubs baseball in the sunshine . . . life is pretty stinkin’ amazing around here, friends.  I’d love to hear how you spent your weekend!

Karolyn - Cuteasaurus 2

So, I thought I’d pop in really quickly and share my last two Paper Smooches projects for the month.  Kim had coordinating dies made for the Cuteasaurus stamp set – and oh my goodness are they cute!  This first project features the Dinos 2 dies.  I love it when dies coordinate with the stamps, don’t you?!  The sentiment is from Knick Knacks.

Karolyn - Cuteasaurus 1

My second project features the Dinos 1 Dies.  Who doesn’t love a dinosaur with a party hat on?!  Huh?!  LOL  The balloons are from Hullabaloo and the sentiment is from Birthday Sampler (such a great set to have in your crafting arsenal, I tell ya!)

Thursday is the new release blog hop, so get ready for some AH-MAZING stuff!  In the meantime, I’m going back to my craft room . . . those deadlines are looming and I have a house full of company coming next week.  Must. Get. Work. Done.

Have a great week, kids!  Thanks so much for stopping by today – hope you’ll come back again really soon!

CAS(E) This Sketch #20–Pocket Full of Sunshine!

Hello Friends!

Happy Thursday!

CTS20 Graphic

It’s time for another fabulous CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge!  I ADORE this sketch and plan to use it for some additional projects outside of this challenge.  To me, it is the epitome of CAS – with amazing interest!  The amazing Jackie Rockwell designed this one.  Here’s my take on it:

CTS20 - Wishing You Sunshine

One of my all time favorite songs is “Pocket Full of Sunshine” by Natasha Beddingfield.  There’s just something about the rhythm and lyrics that make me happy.  You can check it out here:

That’s my gift to you . . . heeheehee.  That’s what I saw in that sketch.  So, we’d love for you to play along with us!  What do you see in that sketch?  Link up your projects at the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge Blog, and while you’re they, check out the pretties that my teammates created for your inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping in today – I really appreciate it!  I’ll be cropping all day tomorrow with some of my girlies.  What kind of fun plans do you have for this weekend?  Hope it’s a great one!

You’re Swell!

Hola Friends!

Popping in quickly before I head out for a day filled with cropping and stamping and laughing – I hope!  But before I go, I’d love to share one of my Paper Smooches projects with you that I think is being shared over on the Paper Smooches blog today.

Sailboat - Karolyn

Isn’t that sail boat just the cutest thing ever?!  I so love it, and plan to use it often!  There’s just something about the whole nautical trend that draws me in . . . it’s so calming and serene.  The waves and the sentiment are from Surf and Turf.

Grocery Cart - Karolyn

Oh, and I think I forgot to share another PS project that I created for this month’s new releases.  The Grocery Cart Die is another one of those “smack my head” dies that are just so stinkin’ cute!  Right?!  The other images are from Hullabaloo, Santa Paws, Geo-Graphic and Promenade.

Okay kids, that’s it for me today!  I’m off to stamp my little heart out – hope you have some amazing plans for your day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Card Creations Vol. 11 Blog Hop!

Happy Friday, Peeps!

CC11_2013_Cover_HR

I am thrilled beyond belief to be included in the blog hop to help promote the newest Paper Crafts Magazine special issue – Card Creations - Volume 11!!  If you’re visiting my blog for the first time, WELCOME!! If you’ve arrived here from the amazing Emily Leiphart’s blog, you’re in the right place!!  Here’s the entire list of blog hop participants (*squealing with delight to even be included amongst such incredible talent!*):

Angeline Yong Jeet Leen
Jocelyn Olson
Kalyn Kepner
Alice Wertz
Jaclyn Miller
Kimberly Crawford
Cristina Kowalczyk
Emily Leiphart
Karolyn Loncon<------- You’re HERE!
Rachel Izakowicz
Rae Barthel
Sarah J. Moerman

So I’m lucky enough to actually have a copy of this new issue in my hands – and let me just tell you that the content is nothing short of PHENOMENAL!!  We were asked to create a project for you that features the digital sentiments that are included in this and every Paper Crafts Magazine issue.  Here’s what I came up with:

With Heartfelt Sympathy

I’ll be honest – I’ve never actually used the downloadable sentiments until now.  And now, I’m addicted!!  It was super easy to click on the sentiment, save it to my pictures, and then print it out for use on my card.  Another great feature?  You can make it any size and color that you like!! BONUS!

1.  Make card from cardstock.

2.  Download, size and print sentiment; trim into a strip the width of your card base.

3.  Trim panel and stamp floral vine; stamp flowers on scraps and fussy cut; adhere to floral vine with foam tape.

4.  Adhere image panel to card base with foam tape; adhere sentiment strip to card front.

5.  Embellish flower centers with self-adhesive pearls.

This all came together so easily, and I credit that beautiful sentiment with most of the ease!  I’ll most definitely be using some of the downloadable sentiments again!

Paper Crafts has very generously offered up a free Card Creations Volume 11 issue for a random commenter on each blog.  So leave me some love, and I’ll pick a random winner.  You have until Tuesday, March 12th to comment for a chance to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  The next stop on the hop is Rachel Izakowicz!  No doubt she has something delicious to share with you!  Oh, you’ll want to drop by the Paper Crafts Connection Blog for more fun and prizes, too!

Have a great weekend!

Get Well . . .

Happy Tuesday!!

I’m popping in for a bit to share one of my Paper Smooches projects that is being shared on the PS blog today (along with a couple of other samples from my sweet teamies).

Karolyn - Get Well

Kim’s handwriting is so distinct.  I love it for so many things, but my favorite thing is that it’s so fun!  Which is so “Kim.”  She’s the funnest girl I know (yes, that’s a word!  LOL)  So when she started creating dies, I always hoped that she’d create word dies.  Well, she’s added this Get Well die to her repertoire and I’m so glad she did!  It just so happens that my sweet hubby has come down with another cold and is miserable.  I’m hoping that this will cheer him up a bit.  I paired the die with the Healthy Vibes set for the rest of the sentiment and that adorable bandaid!

I’m off to have lunch with my sweet friend, Terri.  It’s supposed to be a beautiful day today, so I’m pumped to hang with my chica and get a little Vitamin D!  Hope you have fabulous plans for the day!  Thanks for stopping by!
