Thankful For . . . .

Happy Monday, Crafty Friends!

Thankful For

I’m here to share another ABC Toys & Crafts project with you.  This week the Design Team is featuring the newest Fall and Christmas Sarah Kay/Stampavie images.  I chose Francesca in the Winter Field.  Isn’t she sweet?  I chose to make her more of a fall girl rather than a winter girl.  With all those beautiful leaves, I just couldn’t help myself!  I colored her with my Copic Markers and cut the image panel and Pumpkin Pie layer out using Classic Square Nestabilities, and framed the image using the Lacey Square Nestabiltiies.

STAMPS:  Francesca in the Winter Field (Sarah Kay/Stampavie), Fall Fest (Practicing Creativity)
INK:
Rich Cocoa (Memento)
PAPER:  Kraft, Simply Chartreuse, and Vintage Cream CS (Papertrey Ink), Pumpkin Pie CS (Stampin’ Up!), Autumn Forest DP (Reminisce)
ACCESSORIES:
Classic Square Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Lacey Square Nestabiltiies (Spellbinders), 3D Dots (EK Success), Simply Chartreuse Twill, Janome Sew Mini, Wood Leaf Buttons, Scrapper’s Floss (Karen Foster)

As I colored this sweet image, I thought about all the things in my life that I’m thankful for.  I’m most thankful for my sweet, sweet hubby, as well as my amazing daughters, and my adorable grandson – so family is at the top of my list.  I’m also so thankful for the blessing of being able to be in sunny Arizona during the winter.  I’ve finally arrived here, and immediately felt the heat of that sunshine.  Ahhhh . . . happy happy!!  What are you thankful for?

Be sure and stop by the ABC Toys & Crafts Design Team Blog every day this week as each of my amazingly talented DT peeps share the other Sarah Kay/Stampavie images with you.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great day!

The Chill of Winter!

Happy Wednesday People!!

Just poppin’ in real quick before I head out to my sister’s house.  She’s moving, so I’ve been helping her clean and get her old house ready for the new owners to move in.  Then babysitting my little snugglebug for the evening.  If I had my way, my daughter and son-in-law would go out EVERY night so that I could babysit!  LOL
 Winter Chill_edited-1

This is a sweet little card that I made for a pub call a few months ago, and I realize that I never shared it with you.  Sadly, it didn’t get picked up, but three others did, so I was happy about that!  LOL  So, how freakin’ cute are those snuggly winter garments?!!  The images are from an Impression Obsession set that I picked up when I won one of IO’s card challenges.  I adore these images, and plan to use them frequently as the weather gets colder and winter sets in.

Live Richly!

Happy Monday, Friends!

I hope you had as nice a weekend as I did.  I got to stamp all day on Saturday.  Sooo fun!!  Yesterday we celebrated my oldest daughter’s 27th birthday, which is today.  Happy Birthday, Ash!!  Today, I’m babysitting my sweet little munchkin . . . can’t get enough of that little snuggle bug.  How about you – any fun happenings over the weekend?

Live Richly

I’m here today to share another project for ABC Toys & Crafts.  Today’s card features a sa-WEET set from Stampavie/Rachelle Anne Miller called Tea Time.  There are three images in this set, and I used the tea pot.  Isn’t it fun?!!  This card measures 4” x 4” – I love making mini cards every now and then.  Plus, it gives me a chance to use the Ornamental Bigz Die from Sizzix/Tim Holtz in a unique way.  I love cutting it out, and then cutting it down for a cool border.  Looking at the card now, I wish that I had stamped the sentiment, which is from a clear stamp set from Hero Arts called Essential Messages, on a banner or tag so that it showed up better.  Oh well . . . live and learn, I guess.  I also used my Lacey Circle Nestabilities to layer behind the main image.  I ADORE those Lacey Nestabilities, don’t you?!
STAMPS:  Tea Time (Stampavie/Rachelle Anne Miller), Essential Messages (Hero Arts)
INK:
Rich Cocoa (Memento)
PAPER:  Kraft CS (PTI), Vintage Cream CS (PTI), Restoration Collection DP (Crate Paper)
ACCESSORIES:  Lacey Circle
Nestabilities and Classic Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Ornamental Bigz Die (Sizzix/Tim Holtz), 3D Dimensional Dots (EK Success), Xyron Sticker Maker (Xyron), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Janome Sew Mini, Button, Rustic Button Twine (PTI), Glue Dots, Cuttlebug

That’ s it for me today, peeps!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz!!

Oct-'10-blog-hop-logo

Welcome to the October Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz! The fun starts in The Playroom:  Blog Waltzes:  October Blog Waltz Links thread in the Waltzingmouse Stamps Forum. If you haven't already registered, it's just a couple of quick questions and a few clicks away!

We also have a game we're playing for a chance to win a stamp set of choice, which is open to everyone! You'll find the chat and deets in The Playroom:  BlogWaltzes:  October Blog Waltz Chat and Game thread. The competition is open until Tuesday (October 19th) night at 11:59 pm Eastern, so you can waltz at your leisure over the weekend.

Our theme this month is Autumn/Fall. Claire has designed the most wonderful Autumn and Fall stamp sets – Peace and Plenty and Blessed By You. Even her new set, Teeny Trees, could be used for a fall/autumn theme.  Waltz along with us today and check out the Waltzingmouse Stamps Gallery for some autumn-licious samples!

Fall Blessings Waltzing Mouse

My card features the wreath from Peace and Plenty.  I stamped the wreath image in Versamark and then heat embossed each one in a different Zing embossing powder.  The layout was inspired by a card that I saw on Dawn McVey’s blog a while back, and the felt embellishments were created using the new Lacey Circle Nestabilities.  I don’t typically like long cards, but I think I’m pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

The weather has been amazingly gorgeous here in Washington – we’ve had the most beautiful autumnal days . . . I almost hate to leave next week.  But I’m sure it won’t be too long before the rain starts pouring, and I’ll be so happy that I’m in the AZ sunshine again!!

Thanks so much for waltzing by today! Enjoy the rest of the waltz!

Many Thanks – Moxie Fab Style!!

Hi Peeps!

I know, I know . . . you all are sick and tired of hearing me make excuses for my absence.  Right?  Well, the truth is that my mojo disappears when I’m not surrounded by my beloved crafty goodies.  And since my crafty goodies are in one state, and I’m in another, it makes it kinda hard to get my mojo a’flowin’.  KWIM?!!  But I knew when I came across the most recent Tuesday Trigger challenge over at the Moxie Fab Blog that I just HAD to find a way to play along.

 Many Thanks Trigger Tuesday

Isn’t that trigger delicious?!!  The damask, that amaTuesday Trigger Damask Chairzing chair, and that incredible pop of fuchsia – it all just blows my mind!!  I’ve interpreted the trigger pretty literally, but I’m so  happy with the results.  Thanks, Cath, for getting my mojo flowing again!  Now I suppose I should actually get some DT projects done while this creative party is goin’ on, huh?

STAMPS:  Grandma’s Attic (TPC Studio), Worn Damask (B Line Designs), Many Thanks (A Muse Artstamps)
INK:  Fresh Snow (PTI), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
PAPER:  Blu Raspberry CS (French Poptone), Kraft CS (PTI), Hot Fudge CS (French Poptone), Raspberry Fizz CS (PTI)

Be Merry!

Hello Cute Friends!!

Popping in today to share my ABC Toys & Crafts project with you!  This week my sweet ABC DT peeps are sharing projects using the Stampavie/Penny Johnson designs, and oh my goodness are these images CA-YUTE!!

Be Merry Penny Johnson

STAMPS:  Snowy & Rudolph (Stampavie/Penny Johnson), Get Merry (Hero Arts), Magical Background (Hero Arts)
INK:
Tuxedo Black (Memento), Fresh Snow (Papertrey Ink), Spring Rain (Papertrey Ink)
PAPER:  Spring Rain and Pure Poppy CS (Papertrey Ink), White Embossed Dots CS (Bazzill), White CS (Neenah)
ACCESSORIES:
Copic Markers, Labels 16 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), 3D Dots (EK Success), Classic Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug, Medium Scallop Die (Papertrey Ink), Dots Embossing Folder (QuicKutz), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers)

Look at that sweet snowman and reindeer – are they not the cutest, ever?  They so remind me of the snowman and reindeer in “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” so that’s how I colored them.  One of my most fave holiday movies, and now I have a card that reminds me of those sweet holiday memories!!  Awesome!  The red panel behind the image panel was created using the new Labels 16 Nestabilities.  I adore this shape – I feel like it is super versatile and will be so useful in so many designs.  The sentiment is from one of the new Holiday clear stamp sets from Hero Arts, called Get Merry.  It contains so many great sentiments and images that will be timeless for many years to come.

Be sure and stop by the ABC Toys & Crafts Design Team blog every day this week to see what the other DT ladies have created to share with you.  Oh, and while you’re there, take a look at the post about our very first Friend of ABC Toys & Crafts – Erin Thiem.  She is a super sweet girl, and oozing with talent and creativity.

Last bit of news – Julie is running at 15% off everything in the store promotion right now.  Just enter the discount code – OCT102015 at checkout.  This discount code is good through October 31st.

I plan to do lots of stamping this week, so I hope to have more goodies to share with you.  Thanks so much for stopping by today – it means the world to me!

BLOG CANDY WINNER and a Cling to Challenge!

Good Tuesday to you, peeps!!

ABC Blog Candy

The time has come for me to announce the winner of my big bucket of blog candy that I promised to those of you who made a purchase from ABC Toys & Crafts during the month of September and used my discount code.  First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you that placed an order with ABC Toys & Crafts and used my discount code.  I don’t think I shared with you all that we had a little design team competition going on, and I won!!  LOL  I have the best readers EVER!!  So, I’ve placed the names of each of my peeps that used my discount code into a hat and my daughter, Amy, drew the name.  And that lucky winner is:

Michelle Lane!!

Woohoo, Michelle!!  Michelle, I’ll be in contact with you via email so that I can get you your goodies!!

Pink and Brown Merry Christmas

Lastly, I wanted to share one of the cards that I made on Saturday for World Card Making Day.  I didn’t get to craft on Saturday as much as I wanted to, but I did feel inspired by a few of the challenges that were posted on Splitcoast Stampers.  More specifically, I was inspired by the “Hope You Can Cling To” stamping campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  This cause is very near and dear to my heart as I have a sweet friend who is battling breast cancer right now, and my father in law is also fighting a very rare form of lung cancer.  So, I really wanted to do something to help, even if it is just a card.  This card fits the challenge called “Bring In the Brown.”

That’s it for me today, ladies!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I so appreciate it!!

Have A Beautiful Day!

Happy Monday Friends!!

I hope your weekend was as much fun as mine was.  Friday, I stamped all day (love!), Saturday, I participated in a couple of the World Card Making Day challenges (I’ll post those later), and Sunday was spent at church and then packing up all my craft stuff to send off with my hubby this morning.  He’s headed to our AZ house for the winter, and I’ll join him later on this month.  THAT was a big job, but I’m so glad it’s done.

Have A Beautiful Day Leere Aldrich

Today, I’m sharing a fun card I made using some new stamps to ABC Toys & CraftsDesigns by Leere.  Leere Aldrich’s designs are so stinkin’ cute and sassy, and perfect for us free-spirited, fun-loving gals.  How fun is that stylin’ chick and her little doggie racing along in her pink convertible?  Now THAT looks like fun, huh?!  I stamped the Going Places image on some new DP from Three Bugs In A Rug – it’s called “A Trip to Paris.”  I so want to take a trip to Paris in a pink convertible, don’t you?!!  LOL  I colored her with my Copic Markers.  The blue sky was created using the Blossom Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug.  The layout was inspired by one of the Go To Sketches Magazine – don’t know what I’d do without that baby!!
STAMPS:  Going Places (Designs By Leere), Have A Beautiful Day (A Muse Artstamps)
INK:  Tuxedo Black (Memento)
PAPER:  Black Licorice CS (Poptone), Embossed Dots CS (Doodlebug), A Trip to Paris DP (Three Bugs In A Rug)
ACCESSORIES:  Blossom
Nestabilities (Spellbinders), 3D Dots (EK Success), Copic Markers, Sticker Maker (Xyron), Rhinestones (Hero Arts), Clouds Die (My Favorite Things), Cuttlebug, Janome Sew Mini

I’ll be back tomorrow to announce the winner of my BLOG CANDY!!  I’m off to babysit my sweet little grandson.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Oh, and be sure to stop by the ABC Toys & Crafts Design Team Blog each day this week for more fun Designs By Leere!!
